Working hard to increase the scores, the Upward students took the ACT test for the first time in September and again in December to right their goal score optimal success.

Our Upward Bound students take the SAT test during their junior year, yet that doesn’t always provide them with the scores they need to obtain admission to those dream schools. Our students spent the summer and the beginning of the school year preparing for the ACT. The ACT, for some students is a better test to highlight their subject area strengths leading to an increased score. Although the structure is different than the ACT, our students spent over 100 hours preparing and studying. The hard work paid off and students saw up to to 5 point increase!
